The Library Data Platform (LDP) is a partnership between the library community and software engineers to promote data integration and analytics capabilities in libraries. The LDP project is developing a new open platform that brings modern data management technologies to libraries. LDP partners with both FOLIO and ReShare, where a growing community is actively developing LDP-based reporting features. The platform is community-owned and open-source, and offers tools that libraries can leverage to support analyzing and visualizing their data, and integrating it with library data from other sources. LDP also prepares libraries for opportunities in the area of data and analytics, by providing scalable infrastructure they will need to support data interoperability and data science, and by building on the foundation of an open platform. This talk will give an overview of LDP, discuss how the FOLIO and ReShare communities are engaging with it, and invite collaboration.
